Valentine's Day......didn't we all look forward to that day in the past? Whether I got my own box of chocolates didn't matter because my kids get bags of M&M's and other candy that I had my share. This year I'm LC-ing and thinking about a good substitute. I do eat Hershey's 1G candy bars and love the flavor.
The best chocolate treat - no calories, no sugar substitute and 3 flavors has to be the fantastic Chocolate Fountain at the Bellagio in Vegas! 2100 pounds of melted white, milk and dark chocolate flowing from glass sculpture 14 feet to glass bowls at the bottom.
No splatters, no drips or mess and no carbs. Low Carb living actually means I appreciate the little things more - I notice that bite of chocolate and it _tastes_ great. Or I can look at it and not go crazy.
Can you imagine?
I'm going to vegas soon and I'll try to get more pics. By the way, this pastry shop is by award winning Pastry chef Jean Phillipe Maury, and he even has beautiful sugar free pastries available. Low carb living hits top notch gourmet!
Here is the line up according to Bellagio Pastry Chef, Neil Robertson:
Sugar Free Fruit tart - vanilla cream, almond dough, fresh fruit
Sugar Free Chocolate Napoleon - chocolate cream, chocolate puff dough, marble chocolate
Sugar Free Raspberry Napoleon - mixed berry cream, puff dough, fresh raspberry
Hurray, Low Carb eating goes gourmet!
